Overview

The Finance Durham Fund is a £20 million investment initiative established by Durham County Council to foster economic growth in County Durham, England. Managed by Maven Capital Partners, the fund offers flexible equity, debt, or mezzanine funding packages ranging from £150,000 to £2 million. It is available to businesses based in or relocating to County Durham at the time of investment or loan. The fund supports a wide array of business finance needs, including purchasing new machinery, capital expenditure, export finance, investing in new products, hiring new teams, and providing working capital. It is designed to assist both early-stage and established businesses across all sectors, aiming to stimulate growth and job creation within the region. Since its inception, the Finance Durham Fund has made significant contributions to the local economy, investing over £12.5 million and leveraging an additional £65 million in private sector funding. These investments have supported more than 28 local businesses, safeguarded over 1,100 jobs, and driven innovation across County Durham. Notable investments include Dyer Engineering, Power Roll, and Pragmatic Semiconductor, all of which have expanded their operations and created new employment opportunities in the area.
