Finistère Angels

Overview

Finistère Angels is an association of business angels investing directly in high-potential projects, particularly in the Finistère region of Brittany, France. The network comprises approximately fifty members who provide not only financial support but also expertise, guidance, and access to their professional networks to entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 2008, Finistère Angels has invested over €5.5 million in Breton companies, leading to the creation of more than a hundred jobs. The association is supported by the three Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Brest, Morlaix, and Quimper-Cornouaille), which offer logistical assistance and networks to aid business creators. The investment strategy of Finistère Angels is to focus on innovative startups across various sectors and stages, without preference for sector or size. They aim to contribute to the structuring of the regional economic fabric by investing in unlisted companies with high potential. The network has a history of co-investing with other Breton business angel networks, such as Armor Angels, Bretagne Sud Angels, and Business Angels 35, under the regional coordination of Breizh Angels. This collaborative approach enhances the support provided to entrepreneurs and strengthens the impact of their investments. Finistère Angels' track record includes significant investments in companies like Move’n See, Embaljet, Hemarina, Manros Therapeutics, and Open Océan. These investments have not only provided financial backing but also fostered the growth and development of innovative businesses in the region. The association's philosophy centers on supporting entrepreneurs with promising projects, contributing to the economic development of Brittany, and creating employment opportunities through strategic investments.
