Overview

The Fonds National d'Investissement (FNI) is a public financial institution in Algeria, established to support the financing of productive investments through loans and equity participations in national companies or in partnership with foreign investors. Its mission is to contribute to the development of the national economy by providing financial assistance and expertise to both public and private enterprises. FNI offers financing through its own resources, including capital participation, investment credits, and the granting of guarantees. It also manages loans granted from the Treasury to public enterprises for the financing of major industrial projects and infrastructure investments, acting as an assignor accountant in the execution of public equipment programs. The institution focuses on sectors such as information technology, telecommunications, technological innovation, construction, tourism, agro-industry, industrial subcontracting, renewable energy, financial services, and transportation and logistics. Its capital was increased to 275 billion Algerian dinars in 2025, reflecting its significant role in the country's economic development. FNI's investment philosophy centers on creating added value and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy. It aims to diversify financing options and provide assistance and financial advice to enterprises, contributing to the emergence of private and public companies across various economic sectors.
