George Godula

Overview

George Godula is a cross-border angel investor with a portfolio of over 40 startup companies, including notable exits and unicorns. He invests in companies that promote sustainability, ESG, and impact investing, aiming to help people lead longer, healthier, and happier lives. His investment strategy spans from angel to Series A stages, focusing on sectors such as e-commerce, SaaS, marketplaces, education, IoT, fitness, health, insurtech, medtech, biotech, sustainability, infrastructure, deep tech, and on-demand services. George is also hands-on in assisting portfolio companies with internationalization, particularly between China, Southeast Asia, and the United States. He has co-founded several businesses, including Web2Asia, an e-commerce enabler, and Xibao, an adtech company that went public on the Beijing NEEQ exchange. Additionally, he was an early partner in website creator Jimdo and in two companies that merged into Delivery Hero, which went public in 2017. George holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, and the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He is fluent in German, English, Swedish, French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
