Gero Wittemann is a seasoned private equity investor and co-founder of New Private Equity, a firm established in October 2023. New Private Equity focuses on investing in B2B software and technology services companies, aiming to support its portfolio through capital infusion, strategic guidance, and operational enhancements. Prior to founding New Private Equity, Wittemann served as a Partner at Hg, a leading European private equity firm specializing in software and services, where he co-headed the North American business. Before his tenure at Hg, he was a Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners, contributing to the firm's expansion into North America. His extensive experience spans over two decades, during which he has invested more than $5 billion in equity capital. Wittemann holds an MBA from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and has participated in exchange programs with HEC Lausanne and the Olin School at Washington University. He is based in Miami, United States, and enjoys reading, playing the guitar, running, and spending time with his wife and two children.
