Overview

Grow-NY is a business competition focused on fostering a sustainable food and agriculture innovation cluster in New York's Finger Lakes, Central New York, and Southern Tier regions. Funded by Empire State Development, the competition attracts high-growth food and agtech startups from around the world, engaging them in the region's rapidly growing startup ecosystem. Finalists pitch their business ideas for a chance to win up to $1 million in prize money. The competition offers a comprehensive support system for finalists, including dedicated mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, pitch training, and an expenses-paid three-day business development trip to the region. This support aims to help startups connect with local industry partners and contribute to the economic growth of Upstate New York. The annual prize pool totals $3 million, distributed among seven winners, with the grand prize being $1 million. Since its inception, Grow-NY has successfully attracted and supported numerous startups, contributing to job creation and economic development in the region.
