Overview

Hana Yang is a prominent venture capital investor and advisor with a focus on early-stage technology companies. She co-founded Allocate, a firm dedicated to enhancing transparency and efficiency in private markets. Through Allocate, she has been instrumental in providing investors with real-time, unified views of their portfolios, thereby facilitating better decision-making processes. Prior to her role at Allocate, Hana served as a Managing Director at First Republic Bank's Venture & Technology vertical, where she collaborated closely with over 350 emerging venture capital firms and family offices. She also founded and led the Women In Venture (WIV) initiative, which included building a database and mapping over 1,100 women across roles in the venture capital sector, launching the annual WIV compensation survey and report, and organizing oversubscribed WIV annual summits. Hana holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science from Columbia University, and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles - Anderson School of Management. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Kauffman Fellows (Class 20) venture program.
