Overview

Hans(wo)men Group is a Vienna-based family office led by Johann 'Hansi' Hansmann and Lisa Pallweber, focusing on diverse investments across Europe. The group has made over 100 direct investments and currently maintains stakes in more than 50 active companies, alongside over 20 limited partner positions in venture capital funds. Their investment strategy is sector-agnostic and Europe-focused, typically investing at the pre-seed stage and taking on active lead roles to support portfolio companies across all phases of growth. Notable exits where they led investments include Runtastic, Shpock, MySugr, Durchblicker, and Busuu. Today, the Hans(wo)men Group is evolving into a modern entrepreneurial family office, with a diversified portfolio spanning venture capital, real estate, and both private and public equity. It also actively engages in philanthropic initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education, climate change, and the advancement of gender equality. The team includes Managing Partner Lisa Pallweber, who leads all new investments and manages a portfolio of over 50 active startups and 20+ fund positions in venture capital and private equity. Lisa works closely with founders on strategic growth, fundraising, and business development, and serves on multiple company boards. She also oversees Hans(wo)men Group’s fund investments and represents the Group on advisory boards. Before joining the family office, Lisa held investment roles at Uniqa Ventures and Speedinvest, where she focused on early-stage fintech, insurtech, and healthtech startups. She began her career in asset management, analyzing technology companies for an Austrian investment bank. Lisa is part of Kauffman Fellows, part of the Global Women in VC network, and actively mentors female angel investors. Originally from Northern Italy, Lisa holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University in Milan. She is fluent in Italian, German, and English, and conversational in French and Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and skiing in the mountains.
