The firm's co-founders, Sam Kirschner and Tom O’Connor, have been investing together since 1996. They formed Harborfields as their primary vehicle for investing in multifamily apartment communities. Sam Kirschner is the founding partner of Park West Acquisitions LLC and a co-founding partner of Dawn Homes Realty Investors LLC. Tom O’Connor was a partner at Adler & Stachenfeld LLP and co-chair of the firm’s Finance Department before focusing on building the Harborfields real estate platform. Representative investments by Harborfields include Highfield Commons, a 96-unit townhome community in Rochester, NH; Wadleigh Falls Road Senior Residences, a 57-unit age and income-restricted property in Newmarket, NH; the Berkshire Portfolio, comprising four properties with 366 units in Western and Central Massachusetts; and Wellington Hill Apartments, a 390-unit community with 318 townhomes and 72 garden-style units.
