Overview

Harith General Partners is a prominent Pan-African fund manager dedicated to infrastructure development across the continent. With offices in Johannesburg, Côte d'Ivoire, and London, the firm manages Africa's first and only 15-year infrastructure fund, the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF), and recently announced the first close of the US$435 million PAIDF2. These funds are invested in major projects spanning sectors such as energy, transport, information and communication technology, and water and sanitation. The PAIDF is supported by African capital raised from state pension funds, development finance institutions, top investment banks, and financial institutions. In partnership with Asset & Resource Management Company Ltd (ARM), a leading Nigerian financial services company managing over US$2.7 billion in assets, Harith established the ARM-Harith Infrastructure Fund (ARMIF). ARMIF focuses on infrastructure projects in West Africa. Additionally, Harith has a joint venture with East Africa's PTA Bank to establish the US$1 billion COMESA Infrastructure Fund (CIF), targeting investments in the Common Markets for East and Southern Africa. The firm has also launched PROGENY, a project development fund aimed at strengthening project origination capacity in Africa, and TIMU, an investment company formed specifically to invest in early-stage capital into clean energy projects throughout Africa. Harith's investment philosophy centers on effective leadership and sustained private investment in infrastructure.
