HeBAN

Overview

HeBAN is a non-profit, member-driven network that supports early-stage Greek startups by providing capital, mentorship, and experience. The organization operates through trusted relationships, with members bringing in founders they believe in, and does not accept cold pitch submissions. HeBAN is the Greek National Member of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) and the National Lead for Greece of the Global Business Angels Network (GBAN). Established in 2015, HeBAN has coordinated investments from its members into 26 startups, with a total funding exceeding €3 million. The network emphasizes a founder-first approach, focusing on building long-term relationships based on trust and shared purpose. Members collaborate to offer guidance, mentorship, and early belief to ambitious Greek founders. HeBAN's mission is to create a national platform that brings together stakeholders of the Greek startup ecosystem, aiming to implement a sustainable business angels and early-stage investors network in the country. The organization serves as an access point for foreign business angels networks and early-stage investors to Greek business angels and startup investment opportunities, connecting local business angels with the international early-stage investor community.
