Hideki Fujita

Overview

Hideki Fujita is the founder and CEO of SEGNEL Ventures, an angel investment firm based in Singapore. SEGNEL Ventures focuses on providing seed and early-stage funding to entrepreneurs and companies across Southeast Asia, India, and Japan. The firm aims to support businesses with ideas, markets, and technologies that have the potential for long-term sustainability in these regions. SEGNEL Ventures works closely with entrepreneurs to help launch businesses and build organizations. Prior to founding SEGNEL Ventures, Hideki co-founded COENT Venture Partners, where he served as co-founder and CEO. COENT provided seed and venture-stage funding to entrepreneurs and companies across various sectors in Asia, including notable investments in GoGoVan, the first unicorn startup in Hong Kong, Prenetics in Hong Kong, and Astro Scale in Singapore. Before his tenure at COENT, Hideki was the director of Business Strategy at GREE, Inc., one of the largest mobile social gaming companies. In this role, he was involved in strategic investments within the mobile gaming field, focusing on the Japanese and Chinese markets. Hideki also worked at JAFCO Co., Ltd., the largest venture capital firm in Japan, where he supported promising entrepreneurs and contributed to successful investments in companies such as Full Speed Inc. (TSE:2159) and SMS Co. Ltd. (TSE:2175). Hideki holds a Bachelor's degree in Fluid Mechanics and a Master's degree in Science & Technology from Keio University. His extensive experience in venture capital and strategic investments has positioned him as a significant figure in the Southeast Asian investment landscape, particularly in the technology sector. Through SEGNEL Ventures, Hideki continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing and scaling early-stage startups in the region.
