I'MNOVATION

Overview

I'MNOVATION is ACCIONA's open innovation program that collaborates with startups, scale-ups, spin-offs, technology centers, and universities to co-develop solutions addressing global challenges such as climate emergency, water scarcity, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. The program offers a six-month duration with a budget of €50,000 for each selected project. Participants receive mentorship, funding, and the opportunity to pilot their technologies in real-world settings. Since its inception in 2017, I'MNOVATION has identified over 2,800 startups and developed 65 pilot projects. The program has been recognized for its innovative approach, receiving awards like the Corporate Startup Stars Open Innovation Challenger in 2022 and the Best Global Impact award at Startup Olé in 2022. These accolades highlight the program's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. I'MNOVATION's focus on open collaboration enables ACCIONA to integrate external technological perspectives, promoting innovation and sustainable development. By combining internal expertise with external talent, the program aims to transform business models and contribute positively to society and the environment.
