ICEX-Invest in Spain

Overview

ICEX-Invest in Spain is an executive division of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, a publicly owned business-oriented entity of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business’s Secretary of State for Commerce. Its mission is to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) in Spain and support companies and entrepreneurs seeking to establish their businesses in the country. The agency offers a range of services, including information, advice, and support to business and financial investors interested in the Spanish market. ICEX-Invest in Spain provides assistance and incentives to foreign companies through programs like Rising UP in Spain, which helps foreign startups establish themselves in Spain with a local partner, and INNOVA Invest, a program financed by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan that supports foreign companies with R&D projects in Spain. ICEX-Invest in Spain continues to support businesses once they are established in Spain through aftercare services. The agency also offers publications like the Guide to Business 2025, which summarizes the main regulatory aspects governing investments in Spain, and the Barometer of the Business Climate in Spain, which collects the opinions of foreign investors on the business climate in Spain.
