Overview

The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division is the investment banking arm of Intesa Sanpaolo, providing a comprehensive suite of financial services to corporate and institutional clients. The division operates in Italy with a network of 27 branches serving 19,000 customers and has a presence in 23 foreign countries through branches, representative offices, and subsidiaries focused on corporate banking. It offers services in investment banking, structured finance, capital markets, and transaction banking. The division's strategy focuses on delivering innovative and customized solutions for risk management, investment, and trading activities in global markets. It serves over 150 global corporate groups, including US Fortune 500 clients and leading Latin American companies, and around 50 clients among major financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and infrastructure funds. The division also supports over 600 entities linked to Italian companies. In recent years, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has been recognized for its excellence, winning the Best Investment Bank in Italy for five consecutive years and the Best Investment Bank for Infrastructure Finance in Western Europe. The division has also played a significant role in major transactions, including supporting approximately $50 billion in US transactions over the past three years, reflecting its sustained growth in project finance and capital markets activity.
