Impact Business Angels
Overview
Impact Business Angels is a network of business angels in France dedicated to supporting impact-driven startups. The network focuses on seed-stage companies that deploy social innovations to generate positive social, societal, environmental, and/or territorial impact. Members collaborate with the broader impact ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, incubators, accelerators, funders, investors, impact funds, academics, impact measurement experts, media, and institutional players. They provide both financial support and mentorship to entrepreneurs, aiming to foster sustainable and impactful businesses. Established in late 2021 by PULSE, the impact entrepreneurship support association of the GROUPE SOS, Impact Business Angels is the first network of business angels exclusively dedicated to supporting impact entrepreneurship in France. The network is a member of France Angels, the National Federation of Business Angels. As of 2024, Impact Business Angels has over 60 members and has financed more than 20 impact-driven startups, investing over 3 million euros. The network analyzes over 1,000 projects annually, presents more than 40 projects in pitch sessions each year, and finances approximately 10 projects annually. Impact Business Angels aims to address the financing gap for impact entrepreneurship in the seed phase by involving business angels in the impact sector and bringing more financing to impact projects. The network seeks to provide better quality financing and distribute it more evenly among all types of impact projects. By supporting innovative startups with a strong potential for growth and positive impact, Impact Business Angels contributes to building a sustainable and prosperous future in France.
