Overview
Innvierte-CDTI is a public investment entity in Spain that promotes business innovation by supporting venture capital investments in technology-based or innovative companies. It operates through the closed-ended collective investment company Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., which is self-managed and supervised by the National Securities Market Commission, with CDTI Innovación as the sole shareholder. The initiative is part of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation 2021-2027, aiming to boost the growth and impact of R&D&I in the country. The entity focuses on various sectors, including Bio, Health, Agri-Food, Energy, Environment, ICT, and Industry. Since January 2025, Innvierte-CDTI has closed co-investment operations in 60 companies with a commitment of €175.23 million and has committed investments in 8 investment vehicles totaling €685.75 million. These operations aim to foster the development of innovative and sustainable projects across Spain. In 2024, Innvierte-CDTI mobilized nearly €1 billion through its Fund of Funds instrument, approving commitments to participate in 20 venture capital funds totaling €996.4 million. This investment supports the growth of innovative companies in sectors such as health, energy, environment, agri-food, and ICT. Since its inception, Innvierte-CDTI has committed over €1.376 billion through the Fund of Funds in 37 investment vehicles, benefiting more than 275 companies, and has provided over €493 million in co-investments with at least 152 companies.
