Overview

International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) is a privately owned industrial group specializing in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors. With sales exceeding €4 billion and a workforce of over 7,150 employees worldwide, ICIG operates through several platforms, including WeylChem for fine chemicals, VYNOVA for chlorovinyls, BENVIC for compounds, and CordenPharma for pharmaceuticals. The group has acquired more than 30 independent chemical businesses in Europe, the United States, and Asia since its inception in 2004. ICIG's strategy centers on acquiring subsidiaries of large corporations that are considered non-core and operating in competitive environments. The group focuses on businesses with leading positions in niche markets and aims to develop these companies through internal growth and add-on acquisitions. ICIG operates more than 50 manufacturing plants across various countries, including Germany, the United States, and several European nations. In recent years, ICIG has expanded its portfolio through strategic acquisitions. In June 2023, the group acquired the HCS Group, a leading international supplier of high-value hydrocarbon specialties, adding brands such as Haltermann Carless, ETS Racing Fuels, and Electrical Oil Services (EOS) to its portfolio. Additionally, in August 2022, ICIG acquired the French manufacturer of PVC compounds, Benvic, further strengthening its position in the chemicals industry. These acquisitions align with ICIG's commitment to growth and diversification within the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors.
