Overview

Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) is an impact investment group founded in 2002, dedicated to financing and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a team of approximately 90 people, I&P operates in 11 countries, including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Uganda, and France. The group's mission is to contribute to the rise of a sustainable and dynamic private sector in Sub-Saharan Africa by providing capital and strategic support to entrepreneurs. I&P's investment strategy focuses on sectors such as agriculture, agro-food, energy, environment, health, housing, community development, supply chain services, water, sanitation, hygiene, education, technology, financial services, and manufacturing. The group offers a continuum of investment ranging from several thousand euros to 5 million euros, utilizing financial instruments like minority equity participation and loans. I&P's approach combines financial tools with operational support, aiming to address the financing and support needs of the 'missing middle' in African SMEs. Over the years, I&P has supported more than 300 companies across various sectors, financing approximately 50 SMEs each year. The group's impact is evident in the creation or maintenance of over 2,600 jobs and an average annual growth rate of 24% in its investee companies. I&P's commitment to excellence is reflected in its certifications and memberships, including B Corp™ certification, signatory status to the Operating Principles for Impact Management, and membership in the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).
