Ishan Singh

Overview

Ishan Singh is an experienced entrepreneur and angel investor based in New Delhi, India. He is the Managing Director and CEO of RevStart, a company dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive ecosystem for emerging ventures by providing quality co-working, incubation, and acceleration services out of a 100,000-square-foot campus in Delhi NCR. With over 20 years of experience, Ishan has been instrumental in helping firms establish a presence in the U.S. market and assisting international companies in setting up businesses in India. He is a globally recognized thought leader, frequently quoted in media, featured on television, and invited to speak or judge business plan competitions in both India and the U.S. Ishan's entrepreneurial journey began in high school when he sold cable TV connections, and he remains committed to helping others succeed. After completing his MBA in 1996, Ishan joined Reckitt Benckiser in OTC global category management before moving to New York. In 1997, he worked with Equitable Life (Axa Advisors) and, in his first year in the USA, won the 'Rookie of the Year - No. 1 salesperson in New York' award and was placed 7th nationally. In 1999, he founded Itechglobal, a fintech firm whose clients included Ameritrade, where he closed $2 million in first-year revenue. Post 9/11, Ishan merged Itechglobal with a listed firm and returned to India. At age 32, he acquired development rights on 2.5 million square feet and started OutsourceToIndia.com, an outsourcing advisory firm. In this process, he met a group of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence at Warburg Pincus and joined them to head marketing at WNS Global Services, which grew from 800 to 12,000 employees in four years and listed on the NYSE with a $2 billion market cap in 2006. In 2015, Ishan began investing in startups. Since then, he has had three successful exits, and four companies in his portfolio have raised follow-on investments. He has led investments with Indian Angel Network, Mumbai Angels, Let's Venture, and CIIE at IIM-A. He is a venture partner at India's leading provider of co-working spaces. Most recently, he has led $2 million in investments in Iwi (women's wellness and hygiene products), WeDoSky (drone data science firm), University Living (student marketplace), and Bookeventz (venue management firm), where he serves on their boards.
