Overview
iStart Rajasthan is a comprehensive platform developed by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan, aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship within the state. The initiative provides a single-window resource for startups, investors, incubators, accelerators, and mentors, focusing on idea-stage, early-stage, and startups with a Minimal Viable Product (MVP). This platform streamlines the process of initiating startup operations by minimizing bureaucratic hurdles and offering essential support services. The program offers various forms of assistance, including financial support, mentorship, and infrastructure. Financially, startups can receive up to ₹2.4 lakh at the idea and prototype stage, with an additional ₹3 lakh available for women-led startups. At the seed stage, support can go up to ₹60 lakh. Additionally, the initiative provides loans up to ₹2 crore and equity support up to ₹5 crore. Mentorship and incubation facilities are available through a network of centers, including the Techno Hub in Jaipur and iStart Nest incubators across other cities in Rajasthan. These centers offer workspace, connectivity, essential infrastructure, and market linkages to foster growth. Since its inception, iStart Rajasthan has made significant strides in promoting the startup ecosystem. As of November 2025, over 7,100 startups have registered on the platform, collectively attracting investments exceeding ₹1,000 crore. This growth has also led to the creation of more than 42,500 jobs within the state. The initiative continues to evolve, aiming to provide a conducive environment for startups to thrive and contribute to the economic development of Rajasthan.
