Jenny Fleiss

Overview

Jenny Fleiss is an angel investor and entrepreneur based in New York City. She is a partner at Initialized Capital, focusing on seed-stage investments in e-commerce enablement, consumer products, and artificial intelligence. Fleiss co-founded Rent the Runway, a company that transformed the retail industry by making designer clothing rentals accessible to millions of women. She also co-founded Jetblack, a personal shopping service over text message and voice, which was the first portfolio company within Walmart’s technology incubator. Fleiss serves on the boards of Rent the Runway, The Lanvin Group, Shutterfly, and Yale Ventures, and advises and invests in various businesses, many with female founders. She has been recognized by Inc. Magazine’s “30 Under 30,” Fortune Magazine’s “40 Under 40,” and Fast Company’s “Most Influential Women in Technology.” Fleiss earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Yale University. She resides in New York City with her husband and three children.
