As Chief Executive Officer of EDENS, Jodie W. McLean leads one of the nation's largest privately held owners, operators, and developers of open-air retail and mixed-use environments. Under her leadership, EDENS manages a $7 billion portfolio of more than 100 assets across the United States, focusing on creating community-centric spaces that serve as hubs for daily life. McLean has been instrumental in expanding the company's presence into high-growth markets and enhancing the quality and resilience of its portfolio. McLean joined EDENS in 1990 as a financial analyst and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Chief Investment Officer in 1997, President in 2002, and CEO in 2015. She has overseen more than $20 billion in real estate transactions, bringing a disciplined approach to capital alongside a forward-looking perspective on how consumer behavior, technology, and culture intersect to shape market value. Her vision emphasizes the importance of physical spaces in fostering community connections in an increasingly digital world. Beyond her role at EDENS, McLean serves on the board of Cushman & Wakefield and Milhaus. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Roundtable and has been a trustee of both the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers. A native of Chicago, Illinois, she holds degrees from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business and South Carolina Honors College.
