John Landry

Overview

As the Managing Director of Lead Dog Ventures, John Landry oversees a venture capital firm that supports early-stage technology companies by providing intellectual, relational, and financial capital to accelerate growth and help them become leading competitors. The firm combines venture funding with an accelerator model and a broad network of relationships to provide strategic guidance, hands-on technology leadership, and access to capital and customers. This approach aims to bridge large and small firms and create value for investors and employees through knowledge sharing and targeted investments. Prior to founding Lead Dog Ventures, John held significant positions in the technology sector, including Vice President for Technology Strategy at IBM, where he led IBM's Internet Strategy Task Force. He also served as Senior Vice President of Development and CTO at Lotus Development Corporation, and held leadership roles at Dun & Bradstreet, Cullinet Software, and McCormack & Dodge. John's extensive experience in building and scaling software companies has been instrumental in his investment approach. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Babson College, where he also serves as a Trustee and part-time instructor. He is a long-time Trustee of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council and an Overseer of Boston's Museum of Science.
