Overview

I’m a partner at Studio Management, a data-driven venture arm of a family office that to date has traditionally invested primarily in public equities. Our model is unique in that profits from the public side get re-invested into private market opportunities (which I run). As part of our investment thesis, part of the portfolio will be direct, opportunistic investments across stages and sectors (direct checks up to $150k and SPVs up to $6m) and the other part will be companies we ourselves co-found and incubate. Previously, the family office started and launched Sentieo as a way to gain alpha in the public markets. We’re now using Sentieo to power our data-driven approach to investing in the private markets, which also includes launching companies in fast growing spaces (e.g. we co-founded and launched Thistle in 2013 before the ready-to-eat plant-based meals trend and have now to 400 employees).
