Jonathan Ehrlich

Overview

Jonathan Ehrlich is the Founding Partner of Roar Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California, focusing on seed and Series A investments across various sectors. Prior to founding Roar Ventures, Ehrlich spent a decade as a Partner at Foundation Capital, where he invested in companies such as Clubhouse, Chord Commerce, Flexport, Front, Truepill, Bulletin, Shelf Engine, and Agora Brands. His extensive experience in venture capital and entrepreneurship has established him as a prominent figure in the industry. Before his venture capital career, Ehrlich co-founded Utah Street Labs, a Foundation Capital portfolio company, and served as the Director of Marketing at Facebook. He also held the position of Executive Vice-President, Online at Indigo Books & Music Inc., Canada's largest book retailer, where he was responsible for the company's online business. Additionally, Ehrlich was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mosaic Venture Partners and co-founded MobShop Inc., a pioneer in online e-commerce. Ehrlich holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. He is known for his strategic insights and operational expertise, which he brings to his portfolio companies. Outside of his professional endeavors, Ehrlich enjoys cycling and spending time with his four children and dog, Bailey.
