Kerala Angel Network (KAN) is an initiative of TiE Kerala, established in 2019, dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting early-stage startups in Kerala. The network comprises a group of angel investors who share a passion for nurturing and investing in startups with the potential to scale and create exponential value. KAN focuses on bridging the gap between visionary founders and strategic investors, enabling the next generation of high-impact businesses. The network provides startups with not just capital but also invaluable guidance, industry connections, and growth opportunities. By leveraging the collective expertise of seasoned investors and successful entrepreneurs, KAN aims to build a thriving startup ecosystem in Kerala and beyond. KAN's investment policy is sector-agnostic but size-specific, investing in startups in the growth stage looking to scale up before their Series A funding. The investment ticket size ranges from Rs. 50 lakhs to Rs. 3.5 crores, with an average proposed investment horizon of 2-5 years. The network's management committee comprises experienced leaders in business management, technology, and industry, committed to the long-term growth of the ecosystem. KAN's investors are businesspersons or professionals with prior entrepreneurial and operational experience, collectively committing not just money but also their time and expertise to investee companies and provide access to their networks. The network's investment process is founder-friendly yet rigorous, driven by seasoned investors who don't just fund but also mentor, guide, and open doors.
