Konstantin Petrov

Overview

Konstantin Petrov is a prominent Bulgarian venture capital investor with a focus on seed and early-stage investments. He co-founded New Europe Venture Equity (NEVEQ), a venture capital fund dedicated to enabling companies to scale and reach growth stages. With an engineering background and a degree in international relations, Petrov has a keen interest in data management technologies, digital media and analytics, and telecom infrastructure. He serves on the boards of four NEVEQ portfolio companies, contributing his expertise to their strategic direction and growth. Before establishing NEVEQ, Petrov was a serial entrepreneur. He founded and sold three software companies and launched a major systems integration company active in the telecom and energy markets in Bulgaria. His most notable venture was Orbitel, where he served as CEO and lead investor until its acquisition by Deutsche Telekom in 2006. Following this success, he initiated an angel investment network in Bulgaria, further supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
