Established in 2002, Markaz Real Estate Fund (MREF) is a pioneering real estate investment fund managed by Kuwait Financial Centre K.P.S.C. (Markaz). The fund aims to generate stable and recurring returns by investing in a diversified portfolio of income-generating properties within Kuwait, the United States, and Europe, in compliance with Islamic Shari'ah principles. MREF has consistently delivered strong performance, achieving a total return of 12.8% in 2024 and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 7.7% per annum over its 22-year history. The fund's portfolio includes a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, with a focus on prime locations to ensure sustainable occupancy rates and rental income.
