La Mancha Resource Capital LLP
Overview
La Mancha Resource Capital LLP is a private equity firm specializing in investments in the mining sector, focusing on gold and precious metals projects worldwide. The firm advises the Luxembourg-based La Mancha Resource Fund, an open-ended alternative investment fund dedicated to the precious metals and energy transition metals sectors. The Fund's mandate is to support portfolio companies in achieving organic and inorganic growth by providing long-term capital and board-level expertise. La Mancha's team has a proven track record in the mining sector, having played a key role in transforming junior mining companies into sizable, well-diversified, regional, and sector-significant players that have generated superior capital returns to shareholders. The Fund was created in mid-2021 when La Mancha Holding S.à r.l., an investment vehicle associated with the Sawiris family of Egypt, contributed mining assets it had accumulated since taking La Mancha Resources Inc. private in 2012. Since inception, the Fund has acquired multiple new portfolio company investments, realized one, and conducted two mergers to consolidate portfolio companies. As of March 30, 2026, the Fund had more than US$2.94 billion invested in mining assets and is continuously assessing a pipeline of new opportunities to further scale and diversify its existing portfolio. La Mancha focuses on growth and consolidation to enhance asset attractiveness by continuing exploration and industrial improvements to build scale organically, implementing transformational mergers and acquisitions, and optimizing exit opportunities. The firm works with portfolio companies to generate optimal exit opportunities by developing management succession programs, market positioning, and free float liquidity in concert with underlying business growth. La Mancha supports management teams in delivering strategic transformation by promoting operational efficiency improvements, aggressively exploring to prove asset and land package potential, building new mines and capacities, and proactively managing social and regulatory risk. Within the Fund's portfolio companies, La Mancha endorses continuous improvement of ESG metrics through the appointment of key executives to promote, prioritize, and manage complex ESG challenges throughout the organization. The Fund takes large minority stakes (20-30%) in mining businesses that are undervalued compared to their peers. Targets are typically listed and hard to research, with single or in-construction assets that have scope for organic and external growth.
