Leah Solivan is an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist, best known as the founder of TaskRabbit. She graduated from Sweet Briar College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to founding TaskRabbit, she worked as a software engineer at IBM, focusing on enterprise collaboration products like Lotus Notes and Domino. In 2008, she founded TaskRabbit, an online marketplace connecting users with 'taskers' for various errands and household chores. Under her leadership, TaskRabbit expanded to over 40 cities and raised more than $50 million in venture funding before being acquired by IKEA in 2017. After the acquisition, Solivan transitioned to a General Partner role at Fuel Capital, managing multiple early-stage funds and investing in sectors such as technology, consumer products, marketplaces, retail, education, and hardware. In 2024, she launched Precedent Collective, an investment initiative focused on supporting early-stage investors from underrepresented groups. She also serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including PetMed Express.
