Luigi de Vecchi

Overview

Luigi de Vecchi is an Italian entrepreneur and investor with over 35 years of experience in investment banking and private equity. He has held senior positions at leading financial institutions, including Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and Kleinwort Benson. In July 2025, he joined Evercore as Senior Managing Director and Chairman of its Continental European Advisory Business, focusing on expanding the firm's presence in Italy and Europe. He is also the founder of LMDV Capital, an Italian single-family office specializing in private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds, with a focus on supporting Italian companies that embody the excellence of Made in Italy. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Fondazione Sylva, a charity focused on reforestation, and is a member of the advisory board of Save the Children Italia and Fondazione Nuovo Millennio. He holds a Master's degree in Business Studies and Economics from the L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome, where he is currently a finance professor and member of the advisory board.
