Marc Borrell

Overview

Marc Borrell is a serial entrepreneur and investor with over 25 years of experience in technology, digitalization, and growth strategy. He founded Bemobile, a leading digital innovation and strategy consultancy, which was acquired by institutional private equity. He also founded Farside Ventures, a deep tech venture builder with more than 20 active portfolio companies, where he has backed and guided next-generation technology projects through their scaling and internationalization phases. As a business angel and LP in venture capital funds, Marc has participated in successful exits including Nautal, Glovo, Smadex, and Quantion. At Mestral Ventures, Marc leads investor relations and fundraising, and plays a central role in defining the growth and exit strategy of each portfolio company. His network of institutional investors, family offices, and funds is a strategic asset for the fund's capitalization and co-investment opportunities. Marc's defining characteristic is his ability to elevate a company's ambition—to define growth narratives, reposition businesses, and prepare management teams for structured value creation and exit. He has served on the boards of several high-growth companies, most notably as a board member of Glovo—the Barcelona-born unicorn that became one of Europe's defining tech success stories. At Mestral Ventures, Ernest leads global strategy, the investment thesis, and the firm's relationships with its most important investors.
