Mariam Naficy

Overview

Mariam Naficy is a seasoned entrepreneur and angel investor specializing in technology and e-commerce sectors. She is the founder and managing partner of Heretic Ventures, a venture studio focusing on creative economy, e-commerce, blockchain, and NFT sectors. Under her leadership, Heretic Ventures has invested in companies like Arcade, an AI product creation platform. Prior to Heretic Ventures, Naficy founded Minted in 2007, an online marketplace for creative and custom goods. Minted has grown into a multi-hundred-million-dollar business, employing over 250 people and collaborating with a community of 20,000 artists and designers. She also co-founded Eve.com in 1998, one of the first online cosmetic retailers, which was sold for $110 million within a year. Naficy holds a B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She serves on the Board of Directors for Victoria’s Secret & Co., Medium, and Every Mother Counts, and is a Trustee of Williams College and a member of the Advisory Council of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
