Edwin Meyers serves as a Partner at Carao Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in San José, Costa Rica. The firm focuses on investing in startups led by founders from or operating in Latin America's small and medium markets, as well as top Mexican startups considering expanding their businesses south. Before joining Carao Ventures, Edwin gained experience in investing in Latin American startups and micro-enterprises over a span of 15 years. He worked in the Corporate Development and Private Equity arms of Cuestamoras, one of Central America's largest family offices, where he was involved in analyzing and executing investment and divestiture opportunities. Prior to this, Edwin served as an external consultant at Invermaster, a regional M&A, Private Equity, and Consulting boutique firm. Additionally, he is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served as an Economic Development Facilitator in Costa Rica. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a double major in Economics and a minor in Spanish from the University of Maryland, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. His extensive background in investment and economic development positions him to effectively contribute to the growth and success of Carao Ventures' portfolio companies in the Latin American market.
