Mark Tercek

Overview

Mark Tercek is an experienced angel investor focusing on environmental sustainability and conservation. He leverages his extensive background in finance and environmental leadership to support initiatives that promote ecological well-being and sustainable practices. Previously, Tercek served as the CEO of The Nature Conservancy from 2008 to 2019, where he led significant fundraising campaigns and established departments focused on gender, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to that, he was a managing director and partner at Goldman Sachs for 24 years, where he developed the firm's environmental strategy and led its Environmental Markets Group. In addition to his investment activities, Tercek serves as a Senior Advisor at Centerview Partners, advising companies, investors, and NGOs on environmental strategies. He is also the author of the best-selling book, 'Nature’s Fortune: How Business and Society Thrive by Investing in Nature,' and serves on the boards of several clean tech startups and environmental nonprofits.
