Overview

MARL 5G Accelerator is a San Francisco-based accelerator investing in startups working on DeepTech products and services for enterprise customers utilizing 5G technology. The accelerator focuses on building a community of early-stage investors, startup founders, and corporate venture teams in sectors such as Mobility, Autonomy, Robotics, and Logistics, which are expected to experience significant disruption with the spread of wireless 5G technology. The 5G enterprise market is projected to increase from $3 billion in 2020 to $20 billion by 2025. The accelerator's investment strategy includes attracting early-stage startup founders globally in the MARL 5G space and collaborating with them to develop their prototypes into businesses that can be invested in by major investors or acquired by corporate ventures. Investment criteria encompass technology founders with working prototypes and potential for pilot programs with major industry players. MARL 5G Accelerator has made 36 investments, with its latest in AIkenist as part of their Seed VC on October 1, 2024. The accelerator has also had one portfolio exit, with SpotKwik being acquired on January 25, 2025. The team comprises individuals with backgrounds in venture capital, fintech, and corporate strategy, including Managing Director Amir Khan, who previously co-founded LendTech and served as an Equity Investment Specialist at US Capital Global. Under his leadership, MARL has supported over 90 startups and built relationships with more than 150 venture firms nationwide.
