Matteo Franceschetti

An established angel investor and entrepreneur based in New York, Matteo Franceschetti is the Co-Founder and CEO of Eight Sleep, a company revolutionizing sleep through technology. Under his leadership, Eight Sleep has developed the Pod, a device that enhances sleep performance and is utilized by professional athletes and top performers across various industries. The company has been recognized by Fast Company and TIME for its innovative contributions to consumer electronics and health. Prior to founding Eight Sleep, Franceschetti co-founded and led two clean-tech companies: Global Investment Renewable in the United States and Global Investment in Europe, both of which were acquired in 2014 and 2012, respectively. He has been actively involved in mentoring and investing in early-stage startups, serving as a Co-Chair at FWD.us and a mentor at programs such as Techstars, Microsoft Bizpark, and the NYU Summer Launchpad Program. Franceschetti holds a law degree from the University of Ferrara, graduating magna cum laude, and was a member of the Italian Bar Association. Before transitioning into entrepreneurship, he worked as a lawyer in the finance practice of prestigious law firms, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Allen & Overy.
