In January 2022, MCA, along with other Indian industry bodies, launched a $150 million startup fund in the UAE to encourage investment and regional cooperation, focusing on startups in both India and the UAE. This initiative aims to source, invest, and nurture promising startups through an accelerator program, with a target to invest in a minimum of 50 demonstrated and validated startups over a period of five years, aspiring to turn 10 of them into unicorns by 2025. The fund is supported by investors from the UAE, India, and the wider GCC region. MCA's strategic partnership with Turbostart, a successful accelerator from Bengaluru, India, further enhances its commitment to the startup ecosystem. The collaboration aims to provide startups in the Middle East and Africa with the necessary resources and guidance to establish and scale their ventures, addressing common obstacles faced by entrepreneurs. This partnership underscores MCA's dedication to fostering innovation and economic growth in the region by supporting the development of early-stage startups into viable global ventures.
