Investment Management Firm, authorised by the FCA. \\Metropolis Capital is a deep research driven bottom-up value investor, which seeks to generate long term capital gains by investing in a concentrated portfolio of globally listed companies which are undervalued on their fundamentals. \\The company applies a proprietary quantitative screening system to build a short list of investment candidates. The investment team then completes detailed analysis, which combines desk based research with industry interviews with customers, competitors and the management teams of the target investment.\\Metropolis draws upon the approach of Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. It searches for businesses with strong franchises. Often Metropolis adopts a contrarian approach, focusing on those companies which have fallen out of favour with the market because of perceived short-term problems or market risk.\\Metropolis looks at each investment on a long-term basis with no specific time horizon for achieving a return, although average hold periods are 3-5 years. The fund ignores short-term share price volatility, seeking instead returns through cash dividends and long-term market recognition of the fundamental value of its investments.
