Michael W. Reschke

The Prime Group, Inc., founded in 1982 by Michael W. Reschke, is a Chicago-based real estate development and investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of institutional-quality properties across the United States. The firm has successfully developed and acquired over $14.0 billion in real estate projects, encompassing office, industrial, hospitality, residential, senior housing, and retail sectors. Under Mr. Reschke's leadership, The Prime Group has become one of the preeminent real estate development companies in the country, recognized for its dedication to world-class architecture, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology in all of its developments. In the 1990s, The Prime Group achieved the unique distinction of being the founding shareholder of five publicly traded real estate companies, each one being the successor-in-interest to various operating divisions of The Prime Group. These companies include Prime Retail, Inc., Ambassador Apartment, Inc., Brookdale Living Communities, Inc., and Prime Group Realty Trust. Ambassador Apartments, Inc. was acquired by Apartment Investment and Management Company, Inc. (AIMCO) in a stock-for-stock merger, while Brookdale Living Communities, Inc. was acquired by Fortress Real Estate Investments following a friendly cash tender offer. Prime Retail, Inc. and Prime Group Realty Trust were separately sold in cash-for-stock merger transactions. Mr. Reschke holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois and has served on the board of World Business Chicago from 2000 to 2003. Currently, he is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, Urban Land Institute, Economic Club of Chicago, and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping The Prime Group's success and its significant impact on the real estate industry.
