Michael Walrath is an American entrepreneur and angel investor known for his significant contributions to the digital advertising and technology sectors. He is the CEO and Chairman of Yext, a leading digital knowledge management platform, where he has served since 2009. Prior to Yext, Walrath founded Right Media in 2003, the world's first open exchange for digital advertising, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2007. At Yahoo!, he was responsible for the operation of the global advertising marketplaces organization. In addition to his role at Yext, Walrath co-founded WGI Group, an early-stage venture capital firm that provides growth capital to startups in enterprise software, consumer internet, and digital media industries. He has also served as Chairman of Moat Inc., a company acquired by Oracle in 2017. His investment portfolio includes companies such as Whoosh, Antithesis, Timescale, and mParticle, reflecting his focus on innovative enterprise technology and digital infrastructure. Beyond his business ventures, Walrath co-founded Atlas Films, producing socially conscious documentaries, and established the Walrath Family Foundation with his wife, supporting social, environmental, and health organizations.
