Miko Matsumura

Overview

Miko Matsumura is a venture capital investor and entrepreneur specializing in blockchain and cryptocurrency. He is the Managing Partner at gumi Cryptos Capital, a Silicon Valley-based investment fund with over $200 million in assets, including early-stage investments in unicorns like OpenSea, Yield Guild Games, Ether.Fi, Astar, IntoTheBlock, and 1Inch Network. Prior to his venture capital career, Matsumura was the Chief Developer Evangelist for the Java Programming Language and Platform at Sun Microsystems, where he led Java programming language platform evangelism and developed a passion for open-source software. He has also been a serial entrepreneur, raising over $50 million in venture capital for developer platform companies such as Gradle and financial infrastructure companies like Hazelcast, and has participated in multiple exits including INFRAVIO, webMethods, and Db4O.
