Overview

Plaza Ventures invests in growth stage technology companies. We have been investing since 2008 and introduced a unique micro-fund structure in 2014. Our micro-funds invest in 4 to 5 new companies each year at Series A and Series B, and also invest in follow-on rounds and special situations for our high-growth portfolio companies.\\Our primary focus is Canada, but we will consider non-Canadian companies under exceptional circumstances. \\We rarely invest in consumer-facing companies, preferring B2B business models in enterprise SaaS, IoT, e-commerce infrastructure, local business services / location technology, media, Health IT.\\We invest in functioning business models with a minimum of $3M in annual revenues, but we like to start relationships with companies passing $1M in high-growth mode. We like KPI-driven entrepreneurs.\\We are known as value-added investors, giving of our time and connections in our incredible LP base to help with governance, management growth, business development and follow-on funding rounds.
