Overview

Muzik is an American consumer electronics company that designs and manufactures social media-compatible headphones. Founded in August 2012 by Jason Hardi, the company gained attention for integrating social media features into its audio products, allowing users to share music directly through platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Spotify. The product lineup includes the Muzik One, Muzik Connect, Muzik LUX, Muzik LTD, and Muzik Vision. In October 2018, Muzik invested in Dash Radio, a digital radio broadcasting platform, as part of their Seed VC - II funding round, contributing to Dash Radio's $8.8 million raise. This investment was part of a broader strategy to diversify Muzik's portfolio and engage with innovative media platforms. The funding round also included other notable investors such as Arab Angel Fund, Colin Carrier, Eugene Rosenfeld, G Ventures, Howard Lindzon, Ian Schaefer, Jason Flom, Kevin Tsujihara, Lazerow Ventures, Lindzon Capital Partners, Michael Zeisser, Mike Lazerow, Nimble Ventures, Orin Snyder, Slow Ventures, Start It Labs, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Despite initial success and high-profile endorsements, Muzik faced financial challenges and filed for bankruptcy. The company ceased operations, and its assets were liquidated. The bankruptcy proceedings concluded in 2019, marking the end of Muzik's venture into the consumer electronics market.
