Nancy Fechnay

Overview

Nancy Fechnay is an angel investor and partner at Flight Ventures, a venture capital firm that operates some of the top syndicates on AngelList. She has co-founded three tech companies and a non-profit, and has served as a partner at Flight Ventures, an investor at Notley Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and Gaingels. She holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Virginia and both an M.B.A. and a Master’s in Environmental Management from Duke University. At Flight Ventures, Nancy led the first AngelList syndicate in Europe in early 2015, contributing to the firm's growth into the largest online group of investors globally. She has invested in high-growth tech companies from Angel through Series A stages, focusing on those with the potential to positively impact the world through scalable technology. Her portfolio includes companies such as Nutmeg, NewsWhip, Codec, Kalo, and Curiscope. In addition to her investment activities, Nancy mentors for Techstars and the Vatican's positive impact accelerator, Laudato Si. She has been a part of the startup investing world for nine years, starting her career in cleantech venture, and has since worked for top firms such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and GE Ventures before becoming a partner at Flight Ventures and leading her own angel deals in all things tech.
