Overview

NASSCOM 10,000 Start-ups is a flagship initiative by the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) aimed at fostering and scaling the start-up ecosystem in India. Launched in April 2013, the program's vision is to enable incubation, funding, and support for 10,000 technology start-ups over the next ten years. It brings together key stakeholders, including start-up incubators, accelerators, angel investors, venture capitalists, mentors, and technology corporations, to create a robust environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. The initiative focuses on various stages of start-up development, from seed funding to growth and late-stage investments. It has impacted over 11,500 start-ups, funded more than 650, and led over 5,500 global immersions. The program's flagship initiative, the NASSCOM Industry Partnership Program (NIPP), stands as India's largest industry-backed open innovation platform, facilitating sustained collaboration between large enterprises and innovative technology start-ups. NASSCOM 10,000 Start-ups remains committed to shaping the future of India's tech landscape, enabling start-ups to thrive on a global stage. Key focus areas include scaling start-ups in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, empowering women entrepreneurs through the Tech.WE Program, and driving advocacy for business-friendly policies. The program is supported by various partners, including Google for Entrepreneurs, Microsoft Ventures, Kotak, Amazon Web Services, and IBM.
