New Zealand Fintech Fund (NZFF) is a venture capital fund dedicated to empowering early-stage fintech founders in New Zealand. The fund provides capital, strategic guidance, and access to a network of industry experts to foster rapid and sustainable growth for fintech startups. NZFF is a collaboration between Point16 and Icehouse Ventures, combining deep fintech industry experience with a robust early-stage investment platform. NZFF focuses on sectors where regulation, technology, and consumer behavior are driving change, including lending, neobanks, embedded finance, SME financial services, and infrastructure & regtech. The fund typically invests at pre-seed, seed, or Series A stages, aiming to back ambitious fintech founders building the future of financial services in New Zealand and beyond. NZFF is an Approved Investment Programme (AIP) Fund, offering investor migrants an opportunity to support and benefit from New Zealand’s growing fintech sector while fulfilling their investor visa requirements. The fund has a solid track record of investing in early-stage fintech companies, having previously backed ventures such as Akahu, Hnry, Sharesies, SquareOne, and First AML. NZFF is open to wholesale investors as defined under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, with a minimum investment commitment of NZD $50,000. Investors benefit from exposure to a carefully curated selection of high-growth fintech companies across various sectors, with a target return of 25%+ annualized internal rate of return (IRR).
