Nicole Faust

Overview

Nicole Faust is a seasoned biotechnology executive with over 20 years of experience in cell and gene therapy. She is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer of CEVEC Pharmaceuticals GmbH, a company specializing in the production of biopharmaceuticals using human cell-based expression systems. Under her leadership, CEVEC has developed the CAP®GT platform for scalable adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector production, which has been instrumental in advancing gene therapy applications. Prior to her tenure at CEVEC, Dr. Faust held leadership positions at Lonza and Taconic Biosciences, where she focused on cell line development and bioprocessing technologies. She holds a PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Freiburg and an MBA from Educatis University in Switzerland. Dr. Faust is an active member of the American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy and serves as the Chair of the Gene Therapy Advisory Committee of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine. In 2022, CEVEC was acquired by Cytiva, a global leader in biomanufacturing solutions, further expanding the reach and impact of Dr. Faust's work in the biotechnology sector. Her strategic vision and scientific expertise continue to drive innovation in the field of gene therapy and bioprocessing.
