Nicole Glaros

Overview

Nicole Glaros is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over 15 years of experience in early-stage technology companies. She began her entrepreneurial journey in the fourth grade, organizing theatrical plays with her cousins and charging neighbors for admission. While pursuing a master's degree in sport psychology at the University of Florida, she co-founded a tech startup serving the property management industry, igniting her passion for supporting tech entrepreneurs. In 2002, Nicole joined CTEK, a Colorado-based incubator, and played a pivotal role in expanding its footprint from one to five offices across the state, laying the foundation for Colorado's vibrant startup ecosystem. She later became one of the first employees at Techstars, a global startup accelerator, where she served in multiple leadership roles, including Managing Director for the flagship Boulder accelerator program and Chief Investment Strategy Officer. During her tenure, Techstars grew from a single program in Boulder to over 50 programs worldwide, supporting more than 3,000 companies with a combined market cap of over $77 billion. Nicole has invested in more than 100 startups and has served on the boards of companies like Pana (acquired by Coupa), Simple Energy (which merged to form Uplight), GreatHorn, and Nextbite. She has been recognized by publications such as Business Insider, Marie Claire, and Entrepreneur Magazine for her contributions to the tech industry. Nicole has also spoken at events like SXSW, TEDx, WebSummit, and Pioneers Festival, and has been featured on CNBC, Inc.com, and the Huffington Post. She lives by the mantra #GiveFirst and commits to at least one philanthropic endeavor every year. When not deep in the startup world, she enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, playing volleyball, practicing martial arts, reading, or traveling.
